“Quaint Yet Cozy"

We chose this place to stay in during our first visit to Tagaytay City. The location is very strategic.. very near the Tagaytay Rotonda and within walking distance to fastfood dining places such as Mang Inasal, Chowking, Jollibee, KFC, among others. The Windy Ridge Hotel has a wonderful Taal Lake view from its veranda so we just opted for a room with no view. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was comfy. Breakfast is good. We enjoyed the homey feel of the place. We'd love to go back.

“Much better than we expected!"

Despite the negative reviews of the past, we chose this hotel because of the reasonable price of the suites and excellent location. And we were absolutely delighted to find our room (green suite) very spacious, clean, and elegant-looking, complete with all the amenities that one looks for in a hotel room. And we had a good view of the Taal Lake from our room's balcony. This really surprised us because we thought that only the suites on the top (third) floor have a view of the Taal Lake. The swimming pool is located in a nice garden where you can also view Taal Lake. The staff are kind and accommodating. The place is quiet. It felt like we were in our own vacation house. We even had the swimming pool all to ourselves. It was our most enjoyable stay in Tagaytay!

“The Staff are AWESOME"

The hotel is really homey. It's the coldest hotel room I've ever slept in. lol

From the moment we entered the lobby, I was delighted to see a baby grand piano! That day, their pianist was away so I had the chance to play. The hotel staff were my audience. They really applauded my piano performance - and they gave me a glass of orange juice! :)

Yes, it was just a glass of juice but it was an unexpected gracious service. The staff were really friendly and their coffee is great. Location? The best hotel near the city center. Walking distance in 7/11, McDonalds etc.

If you are planning to purchase flowers and shrubs (like my mom), then the hotel is for you. Lots of flower shops are located just across the hotel.

“A Wonderful Birthday Experience"

Windy Ridge is not just an ordinary hotel. It may not rival the amenities of the other hotels in Tagaytay but its laid back setting is something precious and unique . My choice of accommodation for my week-end birthday celebration was based largely on the romantic “Wuthering Heights” scene which was evident upon our ocular visit, a week before we made our reservation. The magnificent view of the foggy mountain ridges set against the backdrop of the Taal Lake and the world famous Taal Volcano was picture perfect and provided the right blend to the quaint setting of the lobby with its antique gramophone, harp and the grand piano. Opting to occupy a suite at Windy Ridge, not just afforded the family a vantage view from a veranda but provided us with additional perks of welcome drinks (red wine), chocolate biscuits and candies, toiletries of not just the usual soap and shampoo but also bottles of bubble bath (for the tub/ jacuzzi inside our suite ) and strawberry scented cologne spray. Aside from free breakfast, we also had free dinner, complete with soup, red wine and fresh fruits. In the morning, a pianist surprised me with the birthday song and some old favorites on the piano at the lobby...the intimate celebration became even more heart-warming! To the staff and management of Windy Ridge, thanks for the wonderful birthday experience.

“Wonderful view, old ancient almost rustic ambience and yet with traces of old elegance around"

It's my mom's birthday celebration and joining to celebrate my mom's birthday by checking in with her at The Windy Ridge is indeed a treat. Nevermind that there was a typhoon coming in. We did weather the typhoon during our overnight stay at the hotel.

The lobby is quaint with a majestic black grand piano with traces of old history of vintage fans and hotel adornments. The hotel restaurant's table setting only lacks a candelabra or a menorha for certain romantic occasions. I'm glad that I was with my family (parents and younger sibling).

The rooms are big that what I was expecting and yet smelling with fragrance and oil with little scent of ole. The hotel came with a pianist for our morning bliss with musical notes resonating from the grand piano greeting my mom a "Happy Birthday". You may specially ask for a bouquet of roses or any flowers to be delivered to the hotel for the special day.

“Birthday getaway"

We visited Tagaytay for my birthday just yesterday and decided to stay here in Windy Ridge Hotel. Loved the homey feel inside and the friendly and accomodating staff. We had a good stay and sleep in the "I" room. The breakfast is ok, but we really loved the live piano music while eating. Will definitely go back.

“A hidden treasure"

The hotel an average yet with very accommodating and friendly staff. Old, yet has a classic touch and very affordable, indeed. We had a nice room with a great view of Taal Lake. Although we just stayed overnight, the experience was a pleasant one, with live classical music on the piano for breakfast. Magnificent!

Hotel is very near the Rotunda, if traveling from Manila via Aguinaldo Highway, then it should be found less than a hundred meters to the left, taking the Tagaytay-Calamba road going to Tagaytay Picnic Groove.

"Warm hospitality & cool weather. Perfect combo!"

Loved the place! It near the rotunda and very hard to miss. Makes it easy to roam around the city with no fear of being lost or having a hard time catching a ride. We don't have a car so this is a big help.

Staff here are accommodating and never had issues dealing with them from discussing the rates and payment methods until the time we left. Had some issues with the toilet not flushing but it was immediately fixed by the staff. They attended to all of our needs and always greeted us with a smile.

Rooms are great and the air conditioning works well. A bit pricey yes, but the staff is courteous enough to let us check in early with no extra charge! BIG PLUS!!

Breakfast is good. I had spaghetti and toast with a choice of coffee or pomelo juice that time. More menu options is something I would like to suggest them to improve on.

They also have a pool and a balcony with a great view of the lake. As a suggestion, I hope they would also invest on improving the maintenance of the poolside garden and adding warm water to the pool.

Overall it was a very satisfying stay and I wouldn't mind staying here again. :)

“A cozy place that keeps you coming back"

The trip to Tagaytay was unexpected and sudden. We were on our way home from Laguna, when we decided to stop in Nuvali to grab some snacks. One thing led to another, plus the fact that traffic was terrible north-bound, we thought of spending the night over in Tagaytay.

Since it was not planned, we went through our mobile Trip Advisor and started searching for the easiest place to book in an instant. Unfortunately, we had trouble choosing until we remembered this place near the rotunda. It's been almost 2 years since we last stayed and found the place improved with lots of changes.

First off, it was a Sunday night and we were given a treat. We had a tour of the place while trying to decide accommodations. So, instead of occupying the lower premiere, they upgraded our room to the main premiere at a discount. The room had a magnificent view.

The breakfast was American, the staff were kind and generous, very hospitable.

The room was big with an even bigger TV. The bath was elegant. A great place to stay. We certainly enjoined it.

We find the hotel ambiance very relaxing. The staff is very accommodating and attentive. We fully appreciate the extra add-ons offered by the hotel (i.e. piano music during breakfast every weekend, free breakfast for kids, free car washing, etc.) Thank you and we will definitely be back soon.
